Interior Advertisement Policy

The preferred method for submitting shuttle interior display advertising is to make space reservations with an Anteater Express representative via email. Email advertisements to advertising@shuttle.uci.edu.

All advertising is subject to acceptance by Anteater Express and/or the University of California, Irvine who reserves the right to reject the advertisement at their sole discretion any time prior to publication. Anteater Express and/or the University of California, Irvine reserves the right to edit advertisements for content. Anteater Express and/ or the University of California, Irvine reserves the right to refuse advertising containing obscene, racist, sexist, false/misleading claims and/or other inappropriate content. No advertisements will be accepted that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, familial status, sexual orientation, national origin, age, sex, or physical ability, but not limited to these. All advertisements will need to be approved by the advertiser in writing if adjustments have been made to the original artwork prior to publication. Anteater Express does not allow advertising of specific types of products and/or services, including political/campaign advertisements – please email for specific types.

The advertiser and/or agency agree to assume full and complete responsibility and liability for the content (including text, illustrations, and copyrights) of any advertisements placed on the Anteater Express shuttles. Anteater Express is not responsible for damage done to shuttle advertisements, and/or the removal of advertisements by a third party. Anteater Express will not refund for damage and/or removal of advertisements. Anteater Express will not be responsible for lost advertising time, but will make all efforts to replace any damaged advertising at their discretion. Anteater Express is not responsible for weather damage and/or Acts of God. Vehicles involved in accidents will be covered by insurance for the cost of the replacement advertisement to that vehicle. Vehicles damaged will be replaced with another vehicle with adequate signage.

Anteater Express will make every effort to see that advertising submitted is published as accepted by the advertiser. Anteater Express will not assume responsibility for inadvertent errors when replicating the advertisement for placement on the exterior and/or interior of the shuttles. Advertiser agrees to the Advertising Policy with Anteater Express once advertising is established either in space reservation. Should an advertiser fail to fulfill the length of time contracted to advertise on the Anteater Express shuttles within the specified time period, the advertiser will not be assessed any discounts and/or refunds.

Interior advertising space is exclusive to Student Government Student Media (SGSM) entities as priority placement. UCI campus departments ONLY may request space that is available outside of SGSM placement. Placement of the advertisement is at the discretion of Anteater Express and may only be requested, it is not guaranteed. Third-party affiliates may not utilize the space through these entities.

Advertising is limited to event/program announcements only. Advertising that includes, but not limited to, commercial, alcohol, commercial sponsorship, political campaigning, and derogatory or disrespectful language will not be accepted.

Digital photographs will be taken by Anteater Express and provided as proof of publication to the advertiser for each advertisement contract.

Errors in your advertisement must be brought to the attention of Anteater Express within 10 business days upon receipt of proof of publication. Anteater Express is not responsible for incorrect copy submitted by the advertiser or copy approved upon. Anteater Express’ liability does not extend to advertisements after a proof has been approved. Adjustments, if considered, will be based on how much the error detracts from the effectiveness of the total advertising message as determined by Anteater Express. Anteater Express is not responsible nor does it guarantee traffic, hits, or said engagement. The advertiser and/or agency assumes full responsibility of advertising placement and all content placed within the advertisement itself as well as any concerns, complaints, and/or issues brought about in regards to the advertisement.

All interior advertising space placement requests must be made a minimum of 15 business days with artwork due 10 business days prior to the start of the advertising contract.

A full 100% payment of the contracted amount is due no less than 7 business days prior to the first day of publication. If payment is not received on these terms, advertising will be forfeited with loss of position until payment has been made. It is not guaranteed after a late payment that requested position will be available.

Display advertisements cancelled 5 business days prior to the first day of publication will forfeit 25% of the total fee due to cost of print and advertising development time. Written communication must be made directly to Anteater Express Director.

Formats Allowed: AI, PDF or PSD files to scale. All fonts must be included or converted to outlines. All graphic files must be in vector format or at least 300DPI.
